As a professional photographer, my livelihood depends on the revenue I generate from my work. Some believe “exposure” is adequate compensation, but I disagree. In traditional print media, photographers are credited for their work, providing visibility and potential opportunities. The same standard should apply in the digital age.

To ensure clarity, I provide two options for using my images:

• Written permission with appropriate citation.
• A paid image usage license.

Terms of Use

Once you have obtained written permission, you must follow these guidelines when sharing my photography publicly:

For Blogs & Websites

• Link to my website: YourWebsite.com
• Credit as: “Photograph by [Your Name]”

Social Media

• Obtain permission before posting.
• Properly tag my accounts:
  • Facebook: @YourHandle
  • Instagram: @YourHandle

Printed Media (Magazines, Editorials, etc.)

• Use the proper credit: “Photograph by [Your Name]” under each image or as per the publication’s style guide.

Permission & Compensation

Each interested party must contact me to obtain separate written permission before sharing my images in print, advertisements, portfolios, websites, or blogs outside their direct control.

I provide a standard image usage agreement upon request. If I revoke permission for displaying my work, you must remove the images within 24 hours of receiving a written request. Failure to comply may result in compensation claims based on industry-standard licensing rates, as well as potential legal liability for copyright infringement.

To determine fair usage rates, I recommend referring to standard industry calculators such as those used by Getty Images.

Commercial Usage

If you would like to license my work for commercial use, please provide the following details:

• The specific photo(s) or content you wish to use.
• Where and how they will be displayed.
• The intent and duration of usage.
• Any additional relevant details.
